Both were good but after many listens I found myself retaining more of Jakobe's lines. Teq had some clever stuff with great flow but I didn't really find any of them to be woweee. This was really close battle but I'm gonna give Jakobe the edge with the grittier delivery and multitude of disses. Awesome battle gents.
Checkonemc dont realize we're all homies smh. I gotta go with jakobe. lol at teq's humor, but I wasnt feeling the bit where he went on about being a vet, national geographic, bubble bath, and in the Caribbean. I understand it was a different approach and showing that he has creativity, but I felt like those bars should have been used to attack. But this is a good battle. Props to both rappers. Also props to our homie mark for the dope beat. Love ya all
Honestly, I expected Jakobe to win, because I didn't think Teqneek would come with enough personals. But I was wrong. In the past I haven't really liked Teqneek because I though his multisyllables were neat, but generally generic and irrelevant, but this is not the case for this battle. Overall a solid and impressive performance from Teqneek. I'm not sure what I can add for Jakobe, he just did his thing. Pretty consistent verses and plenty of relevant punches and flips. To me, the outcome of the battle is a little unclear, it was definitely a close battle, but I am going to have to give my vote to Teqneek for his energy and punchy flow.
Looking forward to Teqneek's next battle (if he wins this round).
Really nice battle, both of you were fun to listen to. I think I'm going with Teq though, purely because of the 4 verses I think Jakobe's first one was the weakest.
