Item Collection pain
One of my favorite submissions to the portal this week was tainted by one thing...you're collection quests took FOREVER. You COULD have had the collection quest items only drop while you were on the quest so you could increase the drop rate...but you didn't. I spent an hour and a half collecting beetle shells, was level 7 from just killing beetles at the end of it, and then I promptly quit. This game had so much promise too...

This is probably one of the best flash games I have ever played. Graphic design is beautiful, gameplay is exactly what I'd expect, and the pet system is pretty fucking cool.

But this game reminds me of.... monster something? something monster? Anyways its this super old game for the gameboy color. If you look into the old game boy color games and find this game, you can get some references. Like monster breeding. Have certain monsters only be able to be created by fusing different monsters or something. (only good if you have a ton of monsters)
Im sorry I couldnt remember what the game is called (if it even had an english name. may be jap only). But yeah, I demand a sequel.
Catchy, just not perfected...
I must say i really like this game and have returned to it several times (haven't completed it yet) and i really like the gameplay and oldschool graphic design. One of the only things that would annoy me is the save feature: for example, when my creature dies, there is no way to load my last saved game, and there is no ingame pause menu, making it kind of impossible to take a break if you are say in the middle of a section with enemies. A load feature without having to refresh the gamepage would be nice, as well as maybe a revival system for the hero and pet. Other than that the time really flies by while playing it, although i do turn off the music after a while..this game takes a long while to play and finish, which I like, but it means it should have a more diverse soundtrack. Keep it up though, and looking forward to a sequel.
