I was an hour and a half into There Will Be Blood when I decided to watch this...if only I hadn't! Still I have no one to blame but myself.
Frankly that Flash was somewhat unsettling and rather dark, but the movie references (which I would've found funnier had I finished watching the movie) really did lighten the mood.
I'M FINISHED!
