Reviews for "A Tapeworm's Adventure"

Very good.

Although i agree with AmberFang on that it shows the parasite as the "good guy"

Cantdoright responds:

If you have beaten the game and have seen the ending and still think that, then I may need to add more cutscenes showing an eviler side of Tapy and more harm towards Tommy becuase of Tapy. I am glad you enjoyed the game for that is the true purpose of any game.

Decent

The cutscenes were a nice addition, and its something that you dont see everyday for a "Shooter" like this. But the overall gameplay got pretty stale quickly

Cantdoright responds:

Hmmm I was thinking the same about the gameplay and I was hoping to make the last boss an epic battle , but due to complications in coding and my limited amout of time ( I start a week ago and it was due today) I could not make some awesome gameplay. Although I am glad you anjoyed the cutscenes since they were one of the longest parts of making the game.

Eh...

As a game, I suppose it works; a bit simple for my taste. Made it to the stomach virus; no idea if that's the last boss, but it was a little too hard.

As for educational material, I also found it to be sub-par. Yes, it shows how tapeworms enter the body, and that they live off the food that enters your digestive system while attacking your body, but what I found to be a problem is how the tapeworm and the blood cells and such were portrayed. The tapeworm's cuteness, and the grotesqueness of the blood cells seem to give the wrong message in my opinion. Maybe a game or animation where the parasite is the antagonist would have given a more accurate message.

Cantdoright responds:

Ha I did the switching on purpose a little bit, but I can see how that can be a little misleading to kids, but then again if the tapeworm looked super ugly the kids may have not came as close. If you could have beaten the last boss you would have found the ending to be a little more educational.

As for the game, indeed it is simple for it is my first, but I believe it serves its purpose. Hopfully I can make a new better game if I can have a pro programer at my side.

fun

I like the game, especially the silly cut scenes, but you have the collision detection set way to high on the virus boss, I keep dying without touching him.

Cantdoright responds:

yeah he is a pretty hard boss I am thinking about down sizing him if I get too many complaints, but 6 poeple at the educational learning program beat it. I also made sure the cutscenes were extra silly for the game.

Tapeworms Suck But...

It's ok...
I see you worked hard on it and I'm more aware now. ;)

Cantdoright responds:

Thank you I tried my best to make the game educational and fun at the same time!

and thanks for the fav!
