Well done.
Your animation was spot on. great angles and very nice feel/atmosphere to the entire piece. As far as art like this goes, I always feel that the artist is intrigued by what the viewer gets out of it, so I'll give you my impressions.
In the beginning, the baby has no control over his own destiny, he is in the arms of the parent and free-will is non existent. The baby is put into a crib and his lack of control is reaffirmed. It isn't until the baby see's the crane, something that the baby does not understand, that a sense of control is acquired. Now that the baby is experiencing something that he doesn't understand there is a sense that control is now evident. The baby feels the control and enjoys it. However that enjoyment is short-lived when the baby realizes that the crane is a completely separate entity from him and that control never truly existed.
Theme: Control over one's life is a conflict evident in humans from birth to death.
