You put you're own spin on a space game
And I for one say its a win. Reminds me of a Space game called Space Wars(I think) Was an old Cabinet game,..(1979-81) Had like 25 buttons,...white k/b style so it scared people. It just looked difficult but it wasnt.it was just different. Anyway,..before I start soundigs like a veteran from the game wars.,, great game.
well done.. but....
the particle shield is a bit over-rated.
you could practically win the game using only the shield and standard bullets.
it gets monotonous rather quickly.
still, great concept, if not for some balancing issues.

i really was dieing for the down button to put the ship in reverse though, just needs to be tweaked a little with what the others have said so far and i think you'd have a pretty good game then.
Really enjoyed
I love these space combat games. It'd be nice to be able to strafe or reverse the ship. Maybe some way on increasing your hit points or armor. Creative enemies and stations. All around very well done.

Really enyojed it and the concept of blowing a heart of a station and the other parts of a station just blow up in a chain reaction. Cool.
The controls are horrid, you cant' survive without a shield at the later levels so the other weapons are useless.
One thing bugs me, the final weapons upgrade is weaker than the one before it.

All in all, pretty unconventional concept for a game. Good job.
