Reviews for "ShellCore Command: Ep1"

Very good game and plenty of space for improvment

I loved the customizablility.

in the future it would be nice to link pods so you could use 1 hotkey to tirgger multi pods. I hated scrolling through the list to click 5 thrusters and have to scroll back so i could get to my regen and energy hot key.

SWEET! but...

Very Nice! I would play it longer but it crashed when i found a glitch:

If you hit JUMP on the map screen with no Destination selected the screen goes black and its game over.

Other than that GREAT GAME

awesome game! i was so depressed when it ended

LOVED the game. i have some few glitches/whatevers to fix or improve upon.

if you clicked "options" to pause the game, then clicked the options button again (not the X) to close the window, it would stay paused. So you would have to click the options button again to open the window, then click the X to unpause it.

the whole tractor beam thing got annoying. Make it so you can suck up energy without letting go of a tractor beam object. Or maybe even just flying close to the energy will automatically pick it up (maybe have a part that will increase radius or something like that). Also it was annoying because it didnt instantly suck in the energy, so sometimes i would click the energy quickly and it would drop them right next to my ship so i would have to click to pick it up again.

The range got annoying also. I couldnt tell how close i was to another turret or base to tell if i should drop the turret there. and usually it wasnt until i got half destroyed by a single missle that i would know that i went too close.

Targeting seemed difficult many times. And instructions for controlling group members was lacking. Like could i make them attack the target i wanted? Or do they attack randomly? things like that.

I now realize that there is no downside to making as large of a ship that i possibly could.

There needs to be a better way to hold onto upgrades. Like there will be a long battle, and i will have to decide which upgrade to keep out of 3 of them. Maybe if you are going to make the person make a decision, at least give the specs on the loot.

Another glitch with the options button. If i used options to pause the game and waited, the cooldowns will reset themselves like they were still cooling down, even though the game was paused (it doesnt show it happening, but if you use thrust for example, then pause it and just wait, it will refresh itself. And its the same amount of time as if the game was running. so if I use 1 thrust, wait 2 seconds, use another, then pause it. the first one will refresh, then 2 seconds later the second one will too).

Please finish the second one soon! I can't wait for it! despite what i mentioned, i really loved the game. Keep making them!

Maybe as a suggestion have the ability to link abilities together? So like I can specify that if i click 1 button for shell repair, I actually want 2 of my shell repairs to go off. Instead of needing to click each one individually.

Every so often, and i dont know exactly what caused this, but if i tried jumping, it would just make the screen go black and i would have to refresh the page.

Not knowing turret ranges is what really bugged me while playing. I couldnt see how far they could shoot (because they could shoot offscreen, and i couldnt really predict well). OR how far the other turrets could shoot because they would shoot me before they got on screen

I did love the game. And good job at how adding new pieces fit well. I remember in "Upgrade Complete" where it had a similar way of adding upgrades it bugged me so much that it couldnt be perfectly semetrical lol.

Okay

The game rocks. That is unquestionable. However I found some major flaws in it:

-the sell system require improvement.Unless you place the loot in your ship you cannot sell it.
-You cannot grab more than one loot. The game progresses really slow if you want to farm and be better prepared for enemy.
-Letters require better,brighter,clearer colours.
-I only found out after the game was finished (including bonus objectives) that the shell regen =/= energy regen even though they both write "regen" :p

-The initial fights were really difficult, not because I was newbie, but mostly because the spawning/defense turret were weak against solo missile.I didn't even have to buy small ships to destroy the enemy, just abuse the mass missile nexus I built ~_~

-And the last thing that was TOTALLY annoying was the fact I couldn't place a skill from one skill bar to another. If I have thrust at bar 2 I cannot move it at 1.Plus I require to be in yard in order to change skill set, which was really frustrating..

But men...that was a fucking cool game. The above are merely some issues that I am 99% sure you will fix and I am really looking forward to play episode 2.
Good luck and thanks :)

Wow!

This is a awsome game. I like how uniqe it is and it's a very big file for newgrounds as well. But it's just to hard. You should add some better guns or more healt or somthing because the enemies are just too strong. But other than that it's a great game and I would like too see a sequal soon.
