Reviews for "Slip 'n Slide"

Slick

This game brought back memories of sliding around on ice in Pokemon games. An entire game based on that concept didn't sound like something I'd want to play, though. It was pretty fun, but it did get repetitive a few dozen levels in. It's very simplistic and the goal stays the same throughout every level, and it feels like it's missing a certain something, but I can't place a finger on it. The controls are definitely very responsive, as the other guy said, as you can move quickly and there are no pauses in the movement.

Towards the end, It felt like more of a chore, as I was compelled to get through all the levels. It's pleasing to see that there is definitely a ton of replay value in this game. 50 levels is a lot to begin with, then you have the coin challenge, hard mode, and the level editor for people who really want to go all out. The 50 levels were enough for me, but people who really love the concept could play for hours.

Seen this hundreds of times, but...

When a game has been done a million times and you still manage to make it good, it deserves recognition. It was slightly challenging without being unforgiving, and it wasn't unbearably slow like so many other games of this type.

Things you did very well:
-Great responsiveness, character moved quickly, which is a must in these games to keep it from getting tedious
-Game automatically sends you to the next level. Having to go back to menu every time is annoying, and this game avoids that.
-The coins give you incentive to replay levels.
-There were a few clever traps I noticed that would get you stuck.

Things needing improvement:
-The game is very simple. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but there are ways in which the game could be spiced up in terms of graphics and gameplay elements.
-The music is extremely repetitive.
-Difficulty didn't really increase that much.

Overall good game.

YES!

Loved it. especially where you could get trapped. Nice remake of an old style. And I finally got chameleon. That one was tricky. I like red-arrow color.
