Needs upgrades like in MotherLoad
Great idea for a game! However it needs a lot more upgrades and things to buy to make it easier like in MotherLoad.

It was good, and I liked it right up until I started dying while digging. Yeah, it was a great game, great idea, etc. but when I was digging and then all of a sudden I'm dead.. Like I said, it was a great game and I'll keep playing, but that's just a little frusterating..
Fun
It's not too long but very replayable. Challenge is there but it's certainly not impossible. People have complained about the need to hunt food, but it keeps the game tense. I rarely die from food shortage. But I will die doing things to get food. I think that's fun. Dying from digging under a rock really annoyed me at first, but now I know that it happens, I just avoid doing that action, though this is one thing I would tweak. Thus only a 9.
Music and graphics are perfect.
This was a pretty fun game! I love the unique premise, especially the fact that we're never told WHY we wanna go to Hell. Just pick up a shovel and start digging, you've got a lot of digging to do!
The controls were simple, intuitive and tight. The hunger, pain and air meters were well-balanced for the most part, and the randomly-generated levels do a lot for replayability.
My biggest complaint is how quickly your health meter drains when you get hurt. One more than one occasion I died a few times in quick succession because I was in an area with an enemy and couldn't get out in less than a second or two. It was especially frustrating when I was almost at the end, only to wind up burning through all my lives in one spot.
Other than that, this was a really fun little title, and a permanent addition to my "Procrastination Pile". ;)
