Reviews for "Blasting Agent"

Pretty excellent

Just finished the playthrough on easy, absolutely love this little gem... only reason I didn't give it a 10/10 is because I don't see much replay value after I beat it on hard. Lovin it.

Liked it.

Everything was fun just.... the final boss is annoying to use with controls while moving/shotting different directions.

bitpimp responds:

Try holding down the shoot button when you are facing left. That will lock your firing that direction, and then concentrate on jumping!

It kept me playing for quite some time

And that's all that matters right?...Although I did have some trouble with the final boss, but that seems more like a personal problem now doesn't it?

Yup, still freezes

And it pisses the shit out of me. I mean, come on, I got 100% on ennemies and gold, and it just freezes? I hope you can solve that soon, I'd like to get these medals!

The game itself is pretty good, retro, simple, a bit hard with the controls sometimes, and graphics ARE not so awesome (although intentionaly in like 8 bit), I'm glad you have sound options because that's what games often lack.

if not for the bug it could be ten out of ten, maybe add to that the lack of appealing colors (at least to me) and that's were you lost points.

Nice style

Artwork-wise, I like the pixel style, so have nothing to say there. I didn't have any problem with the controls either, but only found you could shoot and walk backwards by accident - makes it a little easier.

I don't think hard mode is hard enough. Perhaps it was because I'd had to complete easy mode first, but it wasn't at all difficult to complete, especially when double jump is the reward for the first level. Some of the bosses were complete pains on either mode, though - the second boss has the ability to kill you if you get hit once, as that sends you flying into the air, ready to hit him a few more times, taking damage every hit. The final robot was a test of patience on easy mode as the fireballs destroy the platforms seemingly according to luck at first - you have to be lucky enough to get up to hit him, which was pretty annoying.

Overall, though, it was a fun game. I came back after I'd beaten it, which is always a plus :).
