Reviews for "System Storm"

My mind just exploded! This is bringing back all the memories I had with the megaman games starting right back to the NES's Megaman 1. Loved the series since it first came out, and still do. Awesome job, my friend. Simply awesome.

NemesisTheory responds:

Always awesome hearing things like this! ^^

It's about time a new megaman game came out, no? ;-)

Thanks! <3

Oh dear... Love it. I just love it. As a big Megaman Fan I must say you did an awesome job making these, definitely has that Megaman feel to it, even it it feels a bit more... how should I put it... "advanced" is a good word to describe it I guess. Anyway: I love it, its awesome, keep it up :D <3

NemesisTheory responds:

Advanced is a good way of putting it, haha! It wasn't supposed to emulate MM music perfectly, more like it's own thing while being inspired by it :D

Thanks! :)

Not bad, but I hardly feel it as Megaman related music. The tracks feel a bit overwhelming (menu theme at least), kinda like they could be too distracting in a working game. What I really liked in many of the tracks of many of the Megaman related games was that mostly the sound wasn't so "in your face", it could be powerful, but it didn't relay only in strong and frenetic sounds (like EXE battle themes).

You left me wanting to hear more, mainly due to the "leftover" stuff.

P.D.: Have you checked out Megaman X Corruption tracks so far? If not, I definitely recommend to do so.

NemesisTheory responds:

The menu we had in place was pretty crazy, electricity/pulses flying around everywhere-- it fit really well within context. In general, you're totally right though! But it's megaman. It's gonna get crazy anyway. =P

Some of the exe/starforce battle themes were pretty upbeat though. Though granted, I'd compare it more to Command Mission X over EXE, since it's turn based. The idea was to, in one way or another, never let the action stop. The music made up for the pauses while the player considered his or her moves.

I just did! It sounds pretty cool, insanely true to the SNES/X style. I'm guessing that game is a platformer though, so that makes sense ^^

Thanks for the review! <3
