It looks like it can work but..
It still needs to be finished. Sound effects,better backgrounds, better controls, the works. The song I don't mind, but I would much prefer if you would use a different one for every stage. I love seeing something on Ghostbusters here on NG, but it's best to show your work when its good and ready so that you get more constructive comments, not constructive arguments.
This is why there's an 'Alpha's' section.
You can attack with 'z'. The problem with this is that afterwords, the character stops being able to be controlled at all.
Everything moves too slow, the music is annoying, and the graphics are not pleasing.
Also, what's with the jumping? It's not smooth, and you can terminate it immediately, but not dynamically.
Overall, this could have potential, but major reworking would need to be done.

there is no way for him to get hurt by ghosts no weapons not long enough good consept though and anyone who can create a game much less a flash in my book has some talent

Looks like it could be fun, except the controls appear to be broken. My arrows keys didn't do hardly anything, gun would not fire reliably. Graphics are recognizable and not too bad. Sound effects didn't seem to be present, slimer didn't do anything but hover over me and bobble back and forth. I don't know what the problem is, because I tested my keys in a separate app, and they work fine.
