You are an idiot. Didn't you even try clicking one of the fucking buttons? My guess is you didn't.
It doesn't play music for you. YOU play the music, either with the instrument itself or through using this as a tool to help you compose or improvise elsewhere.
This is fun.
I know nothing about music and I don't understand the criticisms of this game. It's a bit of fun, like wind chimes or musical bubble wrap. Nothing to get upset about.

There's not even a way to research further through this, unlike a color wheel, for example, where you can seek some more information about it all over the internet and even someone who knows nothing about it can figure something out, due to its intuitiveness.
Some of us didnt even search for this on newgrounds, just found it through StumbleUpon, like myself. I'll keep my vote neutral. This is just for you to know.

Normally, I love teaching people about music, how to play music, music theory, and the like. While a guided tour of the features, what they do, and how they are significant to the mathematical relationships between notes is a nice idea, you have to realize that this doesn't pop out of thin air, and it is geared towards people who already have some understanding of musical composition.
One might bother to actually research this stuff, build his understanding, learn how to program in ActionScript and then spend days building something from it all. But what bothers me is the fact that in spite of all this, some joe can just discredit whatever he feels upon face value when he doesn't even understand what he is discrediting, on the grounds that his feelings were hurt and that he is too lazy to do a fucking google search. THAT there is the real arrogance.
Also, take a look around. Newgrounds is a community full of blam-happy ignoramuses who think that a piano is an iPod, or a computer keyboard is designed to write their english essay for them. The proof is right on this page. Now, please go back to watching cheesy fighting and death animations of stick figures made in Pivot.
Helps you get over Musician's Block
Sometimes it is easy to get scales and sound jumbled in your head when you spend your time engaged in music theory. When you can't differentiate the sounds and widdle them down to usable musical themes, this makes song writing shitty. In short: Musician's block!
THis little toy has helped me imensly in one such period as it lets me play with scales and hear different combinations directly, forcing my brain to be creative when it doesn't want to. Wonderful tool, I really like this.

it takes a little bit of time to learn, but you can make some pretty complex stuff if you are good enough with your mouse :)
i think it would be kool to have a record/play button so i could make music then play it back to people, but other than that 5/5 for a great time killer!
