Reviews for "Heaviest Song on NG 2!!!"

Nice riffin man

You had some pretty good riffs on this track man,In my opinion though,it sounded like you had your mids up a little high.your distortion could have been a little better. Also, speed doesnt make a song no heavier than a slower tempo metal song.overall, it sounded pretty good. The ending was great.

CasketGrind responds:

HAH! actually. i dont have ANY mid's at all i hate mid. with a passion. i turn it down to zero. and turn my lows and highs all the way up. yeah the distortion is comming from a mirage amp (Ive never heard of mirage amps) with a 30watz what do you expect? Speed is my least concern. but it is my trademark. but your wrong. speed definatesly makes a song better. take iron maiden they are pretty good in the sence of power metal. but then you have DragonForce who pushes the speed limit. LOOK AT THEM!! i remember them when they just started they blew up. but remember that slow heavy is alot different from a fast heavy. you can take a fast song and make it faster and it would rock. when you can make a slow song even slower...and it would rock some more. just imagine if i had studio quality recording with a drummer that could outblast my drum machine.

cause it's metal, it's good

but that will not always save you.

this will provide good examples of amature metal recording.

CasketGrind responds:

hey you guys are from houston. thats where im from www.myspace.com/coma

yeah you guys are an actual band. most likely have way better equipment than i do recording and instrument wise. i dont i have atleast 250$ worth of equipment with a computer microphone? i listened to your music. and you guys are good have potential and all. but you guys have to admit you guys are pretty mediocre. i heard some one crack a solo. but that was pretty much the only part worth listening to. you guys dont have enough style. you guys sound like the generic garage band. you guys need that PUNCH that makes you different than others. simple riffs and simple beats dont cut it. this is my theory. if you are not trying your hardest to make a riff or a song? the result will be the same. the band isnt showing their true potential. hope you dont take this offensively since we are both from houston i hope one day we can play together. just take it as constructive criticism from one musician to another.

needs edit

sounds like you did it by playing it live, instead of recording certain parts at a time, right? well you need an equalizer in there because most of the time the combination of whoes playing really unbalances the peiece, could also tune the gitare, it sounds muffled

CasketGrind responds:

haha. no i didnt play it live. i have seperate session files. i have an equalizer. and im the only person playing it. i dont understand what you mean about the unbalanced but i made sure that the guitar pan is peeking the same on both speakers. the guitar is perfectly tuned to E standard. you have to understand. i am playing on a 200$ epiphone. with a very VERY crappy practice amp. using digital distortion that my computer has in it.
