This is cool, totally reminds me of the Space Harrier bonus round where you ride the dragon. Very well done. Good fun and a joy to play. ;)
Needs Work
Certainly, you'll need to wait until more reviews are in, but here are my thoughts:
The controls were too sluggish for how quickly the game moved. Whenever the colors changed, it became difficult to see for that moment, making the controls even more difficult.
Everything looks pretty good otherwise and the concept is a pretty decent one. I'd say, keep working on it to smooth it out and make it an experience worth revisiting.

I'm not sure how the controls are sluggish though - that's part of the skill of the game - looking ahead and anticipating where to move.
I can understand your comment about the flash when the colours change, I've tried it both ways and personally prefer it with the flash. I know others won't agree :-)
