Reviews for "Glass Fish Rhythm"

ok, i guess

the game's not that bad, a little annoying but still fun. the music's soothing but it's too hard to win and gets boring after a while

good retro game, I hope you like frustration

The style is appealing and moving checkpoints is done well.

The keyboard doesn't do this game justice. The average player ultimately get frustrated from sliding to their doom too much to even care enough to see any of the awesome fx, sprite work, or rhythm tricks. It picks up the retro feel a little too well, with mechanics that reduce itself to: memorize a part, die, repeat til end.

Hardcore gamers will enjoy reliving the glory days with the hard fun. Everyone else, should play this with the expectation that this is a retro game and you will die... a lot.

***note to the creator*** I believe people are blaming your game for being cheap because the precision needed vs. the controls stacks against them. You should consider mouse input. Everyone online has one. Its more intuitive and precise while keeping the game just as difficult.

Also tiny input, tell the player they can't touch anything first then WASD controls second. WASD is something you can pick up quick but that life lost because the lack of feedback is like jumping the gate and them saying 3,2,1, go after your already lost. Makes it seem like your out to get me. You are, but you have to make it seem fair and to unspoken game rules.

"Pretty Good"

I thought the game was fairly fun and the music having a lot to do with the game itself was clever. I liked the music too; it was strange but catchy with a beat that affected the entire game. The controls, however, were starting to irk me a bit. They seemed over sensitive and what was a light tap on the keyboard sent this fishy sailing across have the screen with no braking. I also noticed the fish had a tendency to break even when he didn't touch anything- I could clearly see a gap between me and an object but he still broke just from being near it.

Besides the over sensitivity, the game play was fun and a challenge. The graphics were pretty retro and I liked it. 7/10 4/5

Needs some rethinking

I loved every aspect but one, the fact that I had to restart level three every time the wizard killed me. It became quite annoying and really took the fun out of the game...

Other than that, I thought that the story was nice, the music was great and I loved the syncing of the game to the music. It made for a very enjoyable experience. Please consider revising the last level, and I think that you would have a top tier game. Keep up the good work!

I broke my fish

I only made it partway through level two before giving up, but it was fun and difficult (the good way.) Also, the game didn't feel very rythmic.
