Reviews for "A* Ep. 5 Trailer"

Looks awesome

This looks really great, but the audio could use a little work.

First off, it would sound much better with different voice actors - at the moment, it sounds like one guy is doing all the voices, you need a little more diversity to make it easier to know which character is talking when. Easily recognisable voices really strengthen an audience's grip on character development.

Secondly, I would swap the music for something a bit more moody and downbeat.

Having said that the artwork and animation are both great, so you have a winner here.

smbhax responds:

Can't really disagree with you on the voices, right now it's just me doing them, since I can't afford pros and am paranoid (I guess?!?) of using volunteers.

The full episode and the other episodes use a variety of music; it's actually more moody and downbeat than this most of the time, so I'm glad to hear you think that would be a good fit! This episode in particular is pretty heavy on action, so its sound track is a little livelier than the others.

Glad you like the art!

Looks good

I like the art work but when the scenes change to quickly, can't always get what I'm looking at. Also, I have to agree 5lip5tr3am3r about the voices.

smbhax responds:

Smoke and mirrors! It was fun making this hyper-edit style trailer, I guess maybe next time I'll have to think about doing a slower one. ;D

And oh, those voices!

Thanks for commenting! :D

telegraphic action...

not bad, but all the actions and lines happens real quick , and too short. its hard to understand whatever is going on , most characters say's quick few words, sometime they have not much meaning with the displayed action....
its like the characters talk in telegrams...

smbhax responds:

Oh yeah, these short clips aren't arranged to form a coherent narrative here, just to...*tease* you into being interested. :D The full version of the episode takes things at a much more logical and story-telling pace.
