Too many enemies
In "avoider" games getting hit is not much fun. You just fill the screen with too many objects (especially large objects), and the ship is too unmaneuverable, so that when there are a lot of enemies you get hit constantly no matter what you do. That's not much fun. Ideally in an avoider game it should be possible for a skillful player to never get hit at all if they are alert.
Still, it is a good complete game, so 8/10.
Worth my time
The game play is great. The music is repetitive but I don't really mind that. It's nicely challenging, not too easy or hard. The controls are simple and work really well. Sometimes while shooting or evading not every shot connected even though it should have. The length of the game was a too short for me. Nice amount of extra weapons and ships. The dialogue could have used some proof reading but it was still understandable. In conclusion, the things that make this game great far outweigh the things that take away from it. Great job!
Hm, different...
I see a lot of games like this these days, but this on was pretty fun and different. I like how you used a different scheme of controls which were surprisingly easy to get used to, but they do tend to get annoying at some points in the game.
The enemies are standard considering they're just cubes and turrets. I was really disappointed that there weren't any more ship fights. Those were pretty fun.
It's also kind of disappointing that the only useful ship is the one that can that last wave after wave of cubes. It also doesn't help that the other two ships are fucking useless considering that they would die after hitting the millions of cubes on the screen later on in the game.
It especially doesn't help that the one with the coolest ability can't stand getting hit by a butterfly.
But, even with all of these, it's a pretty good game.
