Reviews for "Interactive Kitten"

Not particularly interesting...

There were decent music choices which fit your animation quite well, and the art wasn't terrible. Everything was recognizable and really quite presentable. I'll have to say that this was decent, besides mainly the essential actual content of this 'game'. It was horribly short, and there wasn't that much to do. Mainly buttons which would cause the cat to do something when you put your mouse over it.
The backgrounds were really quite simple, and there are little imperfections which annoy me such as when you make the cat blink (what kind of cruel person pokes their interactive kitten in the eye??!) the lines in one of the kitten ears changes a bit.
Furthermore, whilst having to wait until an animation for a certain part of the cat to finish before another one will start has its advantages, it is somewhat more difficult to catch all the different aspects of inter-activeness of the cat.
Overall, it was good but too short with a few quirks here and there.

(title in work)

An interesting sim game here. I enjoyed the graphics, I though the way you presented this was pretty cute. The animations were pretty fun as well. Your choices of music were rather good. They all had a cutesy sound to them, which obviously fit the kitten well. This could have used a bit more interactivity. Perhaps some sound effects from the kitten and generally just some more reaction from it. Perhaps making it happy or angry could make it more interesting.

Hey I've reviewed this before

Or at least Corky52 did. O.O

~ Animation/Graphics ~

I think the graphics are about as good as they are going to get. Not the best, but not bad by any means. The animation is alright, but I noticed if you keep the mouse on the right ear just in the right spot it just completely freaks out and twitches extremely fast.

~ Story/Content ~

As I stated all before in the PrePortal Review Request Club that it needs a bit more things to do. The interaction that you have is good for a simple start and I like the idea of putting in different backgrounds. I do think it needs things like feeding the cat, playing with different toys, etc.. Maybe even something funny like they have in some of the parody games where you can end up killing the cat.

I liked the songs that you used and the ability of choosing from three different songs, but I think some cat sound effects would have been very impressive here. Something like the cat meowing and the cat purring.

~ Overall ~

Needs a bit more interactivity and perhaps a little bit of cat sound effects.

And we can do what here?

Seriously, this needs a lot better of an interface - even with a tamogotchi, you could slap the animal if it were doing something wrong, or you felt like some legal forms of animal based violence.

All it seems to do is sit there, then when you move the mouse across, the thing reacts as if you;re stroking it, regardless of how fast you pass the mouse over - there aren't options to feed it, bathe it, drug it up to the eyeballs or whatever else it is you do with the real thing.

I think that some experiments to see what can be done with this are needed - how long does a cat have to go without food before it dies? How bored does it have to be before curling up and going to sleep, that sort of thing.

A little more work on the drawing wouldn't have hurt, either - just to soften up a few of the angles on the cat's face.
