Reviews for "[L*] Lucky Stars Return"

I lol'd

I have to admit, this is funny.

Keep up the great work!

So nice.

This movie had everything that could possibly make a great film. The sudden, unexpected capturing of Konata, the climax where her friends tried to save her through brutal action, and finally, the reunification of the friends. I nearly cried when I saw how happy Konata was to be saved. :') Overall, a beautiful piece of work. Thank you for blessing my eyes with this masterpiece.

Amazing!

Duke Nukem just got you a 5 and a 10!
Well done, go Lucky Stars!!

It's been too long.

I have to say, I've been thinking a lot about the Lucky Stars recently. Maybe it was seeing the KK's movies mass-flagged the way certain users (whom I will not name, but you know who they are) flagged L* movies way back when, maybe it was remembering first seeing L* in the Portal that night in December 07, but I've had my mind on these Flash movies a lot recently. And now you're back. Awesome. Now, for the Flash itself...

PROS:
Ah, how I used to love these movies... Cute, funny, managing to prove spam's legitimate status in ways unimaginable from anyone but the Lucky Stars. And this is still as beautiful as it was before, the best flavor of spam by far.

CONS:
This movie is the anti-Brackenwood. While Brackenwood is made of professional Disney skills and massive visual complexity, this is made with the down-home goodness of a crew Flash and the accompanying simplicity. of course, that's only a con if the viewer wants it to be a con, and I don't really see it as such.

OVERALL:
Awesome to see this stuff in the Portal again. Awesome to see *you* in the Portal again.
5/5, 10/10.

Well-drawn, but otherwise needs work.

Before I start with the review, I think I should let you know that I've never watched Lucky Star. For this reason, my opinion might be a little biased or something.
Now, although the characters were quite well-drawn, I found the lack of "real" animation pretty disappointing. Also, the "putting your own name in every part of the mostly unnecessary credits" gag is pretty overused; the movie would've gotten a higher score/rating if the credits gag was either more creative or just removed altogether. The movie would also be improved if the characters' dialogue had sounds and lip-synching of some sort, rather than just captions appearing next to the character that's supposed to be saying them. I also didn't find the plot particularly interesting. As such, the combination of shoddy animation, dialogue and plot made me lose interest in the flash quickly, and I probably stopped watching it before it was even halfway done. I hope my advice has helped you with your future works.
