far away from being a complete animation

this was more like a animatic that you had to manually play through or a comic still in the rough stages...the animation itself was minimal and the sketchy style came off looking unfinished instead of being a chosen artistic style..and there was not enough background music so it was pretty boring reading most of the dialogue...

the story seems interesting enough..this series seems to have a lot of potential but like I said it looks too unfinished right now. at least try to spiff up the drawings..maybe do a little more animation with the characters like more facial expressions and other simple things..it would add a lot.

I understand with the not enough background music. A lot of times throughout Chapter 1 it seems like it's a bit empty ambience-wise.

Interesting...

...although I think it's closer to being a comic at this point. I realize it can be difficult to animate all the stuff at the same level of quality that you get from a focused sketch, so nobody should subtract your score for that. I have ideas of my own that look nice in single drawings, but that I can't imagine taking the time to animate. So, sympathy right there.

The only comments I have are that it would be a little nicer to have it so that when you press the space bar while the new text is coming up, it would speed up the text-appearing speed, or instantly show the text block; it was a little slow waiting for the dialogue to appear.

I wish you luck on your story, though!

That's definitely an idea...I will have to try to integrate that 'skip text' feature. I don't think it should be TOO too hard when I think about it. I definitely am quite a beginner at actionscript, but I should be able to accomplish just that simple task.

pretty good

even with its low graphics quality and slow speed, which i think you should fix up a little, it has an excalent story line and very interesting characters, cant wait for the next one.

Graphics quality has never been my forte, but as I go I do believe I will get better and better at drawing. My style is personally set up for speed production so that I can get the story out fast and still have it in as good a visual quality as possible.

you should colour it and maybe spiff up on the drawing just a bit

aside from the bad audio quality in the beginning... this movie was good fix that and your gold... had to give it an 8 cause of the sound tho :/

The sound will be in higher quality when I get my new music libraries which have just shipped out, so hopefully I'll be able to re-upload a higher quality music and sfx verison.
