Pretty fun
I thought it was a fun game. The only problems were the story (it sucked and was comprised of nothing but the idea that Nelkia is going to destroy the galaxy...) and the fact that almost all the enemies took one hit to kill.
Try making it a little more challenging. The last boss was the only thing that managed to kill me. Maybe make the little coins that give you life give you less than they do.
Oh, and I liked the music a lot.
This was nice.
Sure it's a very generic game to see on Newgrounds but you made it with some nice touches.
First off, I enjoyed the retro feel to this. Your backgrounds were great and the difficulty of the whole game was perfectly balanced. Your soundtrack was also brilliant, unlike most games you didn't just stick to the same boring song which gave a sense of progression.
You do somehow need to take this style and make it your own, it's been done so many times on Newgrounds that most games like these are mere replica's and have that same replay feeling behind them.
Besides that, great game.

Upgrades?
Is it just me, or do the upgrades do nothing? You get other guns to place on the ship, but they all seem to fire exactly the same and since most of the enemies (pretty much all of them but the bosses) only take one hit to kill, there's really no reason to upgrade that i can tell. I like the ship designing, but it doesn't really seem to have an effect on gameplay. Overall, kind of bland, but it has potential.

Decent animation but you can't die. Also, it gets boring its the same thing over and over.
Glitch
Major Glitching. It just flashed on the screen endlessly killing me and restarting and killing me again.
