If you're doing Art Direction, it can be hard
Hardest part about Art Direction is getting people motivated to work on something they may not care about. Some folks think "cracking the whip" will get them in line, but people don't like to work on things they feel like they're being punished to work on. You just have to engage everyone. It's hard to describe, but you have to find what each person loves and work it in. One person may love detail work. Another may love colorizations. If you have an art teacher who's very strict on what you can do, it can be a real pain in the butt. However, learning to work as a team on an art project with very strict guidelines is prepping you for the real world. We all can't work on misc projects for whim and fancy.
