A Great Game
It held my attention in short bursts and I eventually beat it. I have a short attention span so for me to actually want to finish a game it means some thing. However as some one already pointed out... a lot of the descriptions left a lot to be desired for the weapons... for the first 10 or so levels I never even had to purchase a new weapon and after that it was just mostly a combo of the BFG (Large Laser), that huge rolling sphere and than what ever else suited my fancy. However, 90% of the weapons were useless or there were others which were just much better. Obviously every game is going to have a throw back or two of trash can weapons, but yours had a lot. And as I said, it wasn't like I had to purchase the cheap weapons and then eventually upgrade to the better ones which would mean that those trash can weapons were needed for at least a little while before getting some thing better... I simply held off except for one or two and then bought the most expensive and worked my way back wards which took a lot of the experience of the game away from me.
But then again those trash can weapons can make for a second daring attempt at beating the game again and just using the worthless ones and see if you can beat it... =)
But my only "real" complaint would be the lack of any kind of story... I mean there really wasn't one.

I found the best weapons to use against the last boss was the stop time, the large rocket that does a large amount of damage to normal enemies and if I remember correctly the BFG.
