Very great game. Although, I do think I would prefer the first game.
Replacing glowing frames with all kinds of map modes was a mistake. With so many ways to replay the same map, it seems the designers couldn't resist forcing the player to grind! You'll probably have to grind just to unlock the first arcane guardian map. And, of course, you'll need to grind for skills, some of which are essential to completing later maps.Gem bombs are worthless in GC0. In GC1, using gem bombs for most or all of a level was a viable tactic--you could do real damage to large groups of monsters with them. In GC0, however, even with maxed out gem bomb skills, you can barely put a dent in the very first wave of a level with gem bombs, let alone win. It's almost as if the designers knew this, so added destructible buildings to the maps to make up for it. Well, they don't make up for it, sorry.That said, one thing I really like in GC0 is the ability to "anger" waves. This effectively lets you adjust the difficulty of the game (and your rewards!) on the fly, which can be pretty handy. Coupled with certain gemming strategies, "angering" can earn you ridiculous amounts of points and experience (I was averaging over 50,000,000 points per normal map near the end of the game, and I've seen more patient people get over 10x that much).

im only level 13 at the moment but i think its a great game so far (as long as i have green gems im happy)
best way to complete it is using a poisen trap line lol
