Reviews for "DMT:How to read music/tab"

good's

wowz, you know music, flash and coding command to make this movie and you still like that, make such an awesome, easy-to-understand tutorial?
where the hell did you came from?
that was pretty good and rich on info...
So u got my 5/5 points.. grats for the coolness and first flash project's awesomeness

Darkmaster603 responds:

heh. Well, the code is simple, probably very messy, and I have an excellent guitar/music theory teacher. I'm glad you liked the tutorial, and I hope you find use in it!

Thanks for the kind words and review =)

Intriguing Methods

Absolutely marvelous for a beginner learning music in tab or staff form. As some people have mentioned, you don't have C Clef (AKA Tenor Clef). I understand that this is not a common clef and should probably not be introduced so as to keep questions to a minimum. There are at least 7 different clefs that I'm aware of and a PLETHORA of extra knowledge that you could have used. BUT!!! This would cease to make this program simple and begin the program at an advanced level; though there's a thought if you're interested XD Keep up the GREAT work. I hope you continue this idead to different levels of teaching!

Darkmaster603 responds:

Hmm...Maybe we should collab on one of these then? I don't plan on doing an advanced sheet music tutorial until a few more tutorials get out, but maybe you'd like to help me with the sheet music one!

Thanks for the review!

Nice

As someone who's fairly new to reading music/playing an instrument, I found this app to be very useful. The layout was clean and everything was easy to understand. Very cool.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks, glad you can find use out of this!

Yay!!! Now I can play guitar songs!!!

Excellent tool for begginers like you said. I think that note distinction (how each note sounds) is another way to improve your playing skills, 'cause if you can master the idea of how the song should sound like and you know which kind of tone plays when you hit it on the piano or guitar next, you can play most musics from sheets in a decent speed without many mistakes and it'll sound good.

Just to say again, AWESOME!!! :D (my first 5).

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks! This tutorial was merely teaching how to read tablature, the next one (an in depth guide to tab) covers almost everything there is to know about tab, even how to transcribe sheet music to tab form!

Thanks for the review!

Very Helpful Tool!!!

i'm starting to play guitar so the explanation of tabs is very useful.
On the flash side it was very user friendly and easy to use
you didn't mention some things, but for a tool that is meant for beginners, it was very useful!

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks! The next tutorial includes everything for tab, so stay tuned for that.
