Reviews for "Harmonic Symphony 12"

Great ambient piece, for me, it has it all! Except, the only thing that i didnt like is that you dont put bass, but in a way, you managed to fill the background with pads, but i think with more bass this could be the piece of the year! This is one of a few ambient songs that i close my eyes and imagine another world! All sounds are well presented, you played with them nicely! Nice effects you used there! This is completely amazing! Added to favs! Keep your work mate, i really like your style! :D

"Piece of the year?" Wow XD

Thanks!!! I see what you mean when referring to the bass. I felt adding more bass would throw off the calm nature of the song. (Also, I don't really have any speakers right now, so I kind of have to go off of how everything sounds with different sets of headphones)

Also, you're the 2nd and hopefully not the last person to be able to imagine and see "another world" when listening to this piece (That's awesome!) Thanks for favoriting and I hope to see more great reviews from you!

You are the Maker, the creator of all things. One day, you decided to create something grand

0:00 - 0:30
You hold both your hands, release them & gently stretch them out. In between is a dark sphere. You call the sphere, Universe. The void expand endlessly in snail pace, until it's larger than you. Perfect. Beautiful. Serene. Empty.

0:30 - 0:50
You trudge at its center. Looking around, you see that its missing something from its perfection.

0:50 - 1:26
With a wave of your hand, gaseous matter & dark matter spews to the universe. You fill it to the brim with different colors. They shift & twirl around you. You find this pleasing to your eyes. But the gas limits your view. Everything looks mundane because most gas looks the same. Then you struck with an inspiration

1:26 - 1:45
You gather a small lump of the cloud. Holding them in between your hands, you press hard. You release, and out of your hand comes forth a bright orb. You call this orb, Star. It shines & flickers. You find this pleasing. Then another inspiration comes to you.

1:45 - 2:00
You snap your finger on the star. A few pieces of itself broke off, making smaller stars. You roll them gently on your thumb & index finger, cooling them off. These doused stars you call them Planet. You place them on a different distance from the Star.

2:00 - 2:37
With a twirl of your finger, the planets began to spin around the Star. You decided to give the Star another nickname; Sun. Each spins at different speed. You stand there, watching in amazement of your work.

2:37 - 3:48
You repeat the process. Making even bigger stars, almost the size of yourself. Making even smaller stars. You make different planets. Some are solid, some are gaseous. Some with beautiful rings to it. some would be oval instead of a sphere.

3:48 - 4:24
You look around on the random stars that you made. There isn't much matter left. You decided that it's not good for them to stray so far from each other. With a whirl of your hand, these stars gather together in a spiral pattern. You decided to call these groups of stars, Galaxy. With what little is left of the matter, you place them together, calling them, Nebula.

4:24 - 5:17
You look at your work, impressed by its majesty. but something is still missing. They all don't move. Lifeless. Another grand inspiration comes to you. You searched around on all the planet.

5:17 - 6:17
One planet caught your attention. From the clay of this planet you select, you make peculiar shapes to it. With a breath, these clay comes to life. You watch them live, move & grow. Compassion fills your heart. You see them with such favor. But then you realize this is the only planet that is alive. You take one last look, holds this planet gently, giving it a silent promise that you will return after filling the rest of the others with life. This planet is special. It was your first. So you name this one planet... Earth.

Well, that's how I picture when hearing this music, if the universe existed by design. 5 points everywhere!!

I'm ecstatic to hear you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for the breakdown of the song. The way you described it was perfect. Everytime I listen to this now, at some point I'm going to envision what you said! Thanks again.

Hmm, I like it. The melody is nice. However it feels a little bland at times, it could use more instruments/sounds going on at the same time. It also feels a bit random and not fully thought out, such as when the song suffers a complete shift at 1:43. It should have been more connected and made more sense.
Finally, the song is not ideally mastered, the main synth should be higher in volume in relation to the more "background" instruments to bring it out more.

As I said, I like it, but in my opinion it has a lot of room for improvement.

Rinileki14 responds:

Thanks for reviewing. I'm not an expert here when it comes to mastering, so I believe that will steadily improve with time.

Also, have you ever heard the original? (Harmonic Voltage) Compare it to mine. How is this bland??

As for the part at 1:43, I remixed this song last year and opted to make this one completely different. (New style, different atmosphere, tone) Everything different.

To be honest, I don't understand how it doesn't make sense.

Thanks again.
