...huh?
I managed just fine at first, but then the first level was pumping out three... three enemies with very high hit points, one of them exploding and making taking damage almost mandatory with guns dealing far too little damage. Once I got past that portion, a tougher looking enemy was finishing off my horrible hit points with a massive strike, even on the lowest difficulty.
The music and effects are awesome, but sometimes I load and fall right through the floor, having to get back up. And I never have once started with a full hit point bar. Its a great game, but its too much grinding and its too hard to turn around while inputting them into a keyboard. I've tried a good three times and failed to end the first stage in the lowest difficulty, but its too much even for me to handle. Too much, too soon.
I suggest adding combos that stack more damage and possibly making it easier to sit back and actually shoot the enemies that will explode, and perhaps even adding an attack that includes turning the character around for some handy strategy. Without simply forcing the player to lower their guard long enough to get pummeled by a few attacks, you'd make the game in fact playable as a combo grinder.
Upset? Yes, I am. Because I will never even see the later levels. Probably even if I try.
