Reviews for "Don't Look Back"

Perfect

Excellent use of everything. Simple controls, great example of storyline told without words, good choice of music, good variety of challenges, not too long... there is nothing else to say. This is a work of art. Well done.

Simply Beautiful

I applaud you on this beautiful piece of work. You did a wonderful job of combining a cute little game, evocative pixel art, heartfelt music and the myth of Orpheus' descent into Hades to retrieve Eurydice, and you even managed to add your own twist to the story at the end.

Overall, you did an amazing job- My only regret is that I can't rate it an 11!

Great game

for those who don't know, this is based off a greek mith, where a woman dies and her soul goes to the underworld. her lover travels to the underworld to save her, and the wife of hades is moved and says he can take her back, if he doesen't look back "don't look back" and well, since EVERYONE who plays this will look back at least once, you lose at the end, whereas he loses his soul :P

A rare gem

Not many dare do this nowadays but it's just something so alluring in these types of games. I mean this is basically how gaming began: you, a character, a
slit-your-wrists difficulty of game-play and little more than your wits to get you through it all. Hands down this is one of my all time favorites.

You must be an Atari fan...

...the graphics are Atari quality...

...and yet the game kicked so much ass. Today's game developers could learn something from this.
