Richard for the advance.
Suddle shot himself in the foot when he talked about Rich not being fresh right after opening with three consecutive fat jokes. A little hypocritical, no? His first verse just felt weak to me. He came back strong with the second one, but it was dragged down by the generic opening in my mind.
I liked Richard's opening nonchalance before picking up the pace in both verses. I liked the bear flip, and I liked the defense. Normally defense is a sure way to lose a rap battle, but Richard does it well. He has a way of giving his defense an offensive quality. Yes he attacked less than Suddle, but his hits fell harder than Suddle's hits. Quality wins over quantity for me.
I look forward to hearing both MCs again. Suddle sounds like he can bring it, even if I failed to see it in his opening, and Richard's a more than competent MC.
