AWESOME song but my internet keeps on shutting down the download, so i cant seem to download your song and what program did you use to make your song i have fruity loops but it seems so weird
like i know how to make a song but i dont know.

DJ-Babokon responds:

I use FL Studio 9, but I have had lots of practice with it and I also use various VST Plugins for the sounds I use

A fantastic effort. Musically good and correct synths applied. However, there are still some downsides.

There is way too much sparkle to the hi-hats and cymbals. The snare could definitely have a bit more body to it. There is no bass line (listening through subwoofer).

The track as a whole sounds very clouded and too atmospheric. I think the sparkly hats and cymbals highly contribute to this.

It sounds a bit too busy at the parts (3:05 is an example), I believe because of the main talking synth being used. It would probably sound better if that synth was either replaced with something more subtle or removed. That way, there's more impact when the dub gets in. I have to say though, those parts, musically, are quite great. You just need to bring out that melody more so the average listener doesn't have to put effort into listening to the tune, without giving those parts more impact than they need.

"E-e-er-error!" Awesome! Loved it! Fits perfectly with the track.

All in all, a fantastic effort but sounds a bit too full. If you listen to professional electro, and music in general, you will notice that the melodies/main dub riffs stick out more than anything else in the mix, without overriding the whole track. In this track, your melodies and dub riffs almost blend in too much with the rest of the mix. This still sounds good to musicians because we can easily identify the melody and enjoy it, but to the average listener, it can be a bit too much effort to enjoy.

Well done.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Wow now that was a proper review! Congratulations sir, you've actually offered constructive criticism on Newgrounds. I'll work on making everything stand out and stuff and I appreciate the dual perspective. Thanks for the review.
