Reviews for "Ma-Ku - The Rain Cloud"

Nice Design

But the game itself is not too much fun nor original.

hmm....?

hmm not bad but
which drug you have take to produce this game xD

Interesting

I wouldn't call this game fun, but I'd say it's well made, so I'll give you an eight. It's cool to play, the sounds are really good and the plant growing cycle is fun, but it's generally annoying as the goal in my opinion is un-original. Good work though, keep it up!

excellent

but some suggestions:add permanant powerups
a shop use points to buy
roots for plants and ground enemies

Pretty good...

The game was interesting, never seen a game like it before and I liked it quite well. The music was perfect for the game, the art was pretty good though it could of been a bit better. All the power-ups were cool, though they didn't come out at a very regular rate causing me to be flooded with them or have none available for a while in most instances.

== Problems ==
There were a few bugs/glitches I came across. First, there were two caterpillar that just got stuck and together mind you as well and they couldn't be killed. A flower that would not grow after a butterfly did some damage. My Lightning would not damage bugs sometimes when I held the button down for a continued stream of blast. And the whole motion of it ran really fast to slow here and there, like the first two levels it ran real fast and after that it was much slower. This last gripe may of been my computer, or maybe of not.

== Improvements ==
First, add more levels as the game was much too short. I think a good number be 10 levels at least. Next make power-up production more reliable, even go as far to base its production on how well you are doing, so if you are doing badly they will spawn faster..etc. Add some ground bugs that can do damage to complete flowers, as the flying bugs rarely appeared making it a bit easy once you completed more & more flowers. Or instead, just opt to make flying bugs appear at a faster rate. Next, make the caterpillar do more than performing the worm for us lol, as it seemed to be the straggler as it barely sought to do damage to the flowers. After that, you could add a hail attack to add some variety to the attacks your cloud can do. You could maybe also make lasting effects from your lightning, so if one blast did not kill something, it stun it a bit after the fact and if you did the hail attack, you could make a slow effect after the fact to represent freezing or whatever. Other power-ups you could also get could be like a gust of wind that comes in and blows all the bugs away and when doing the freeze power-up, maybe show it actually snow or whatever. And finally, you could say how much time you actually have rather than go by the bar. Also a thing for high scores be cool of course, as it make people want to play more with the added competition of seeing who is on top.

== Advancements ==
You could really go further, and throw in some RPG aspects. Like make it so you can level your cloud and its abilities. Like increasing the rate/amount of water poured, the damage lightning does, the speed it moves, the rate of fire for the lightning...etc. Even further, you could make some power-ups into abilities that can be triggered once getting enough energy from killing bugs and general regeneration of it. Like make the freeze power-up into something like the hail attack I mentioned. Or least make it so you can increase the effectiveness of power-ups like abilities like lightning. Course this mean making them weaker at first then grow stronger over time, but that make it just more difficult which be good. Or you could just have permanent power-ups you buy such as those that increase rate of fire, power, speed..etc and they across the boards effect all abilities generally.

And that is about all I can think of right now. I say this game could definitely be addicting, if it was a touch harder, there were more levels and maybe some RPG aspects thrown in it.

But all in all, pretty good game. The bugs/glitches and need for some improvements are the only reason why I didn't give this a 5 & a 10. But hey, it still got a 4 & a 9 from me, even with the problems showing just how good it is. Great job!
