Cool stuff. Did some artwork with skulls, myself, recently. Giraffe skull is surprisingly sinister looking.

Wow man, these look fantastic... I don't actually have any technical/practical knowledge on pixel art (or any kind of art, actually) but i've been wanting to create stuff like that for ages. Would you be kind to share a tip or two on how to get started on it, pretty please? :)

They're really great for when you're first starting out.
One exercise that I recommend to beginners is to work with a limited colour palette, preferably 6 colours maximum. Another great exercise is to practice resizing the same image, so you can develop a feel for how the same image translates at different scales.
