Fish heads, Fish heads, Eat them up, Yummm!
Squigly Fish Racer's main character is Squigly - the crazy fish from Super Mario Bros. 2. You basically race with the other fish in a button-mashing frenzy. Although the game really caters to old school gaming fanboys, but more on that later.
The graphics won't appeal to everyone, since many of the people playing this won't have played Super Mario Bros. 3. (Okay, most of them probably have, but still...) Those who have though or any real old school game will love the graphics.
The style is the same thing, either you love it or you hate it. I, personally love it. Especially the little hidden things amongst the game, they really add alot to it. (Note: If you're confused, then let me inform you. There are 5 little "Easter Eggs" in this game. Just press random buttons during a race and you should find some of them. If you don't, other people have unfortunatly shared the information throughout the reviews...)
The sound is the same exact thing, except it's probably more obvious. There's also this cute little fish head song as one of the easter eggs, you just press si-... oops. >.>
Probably the only flaw to this game is the fact that it's a button-masher. Basically you continuously hit the "a" and "d" buttons to make Squigly move. This delivers a wonderful arcade feel, but it makes the game a bit on the hard side.
The game delivers enough humor to perhaps make you smile, but this is only for that fish heads song. Grrr, I've got that stupid thing stuck in my head...
