Not a abad start

Yes, it needs some work to make the piece complete, because at the moment, it's a crescendo loop, which gradually build up to something more complex with this same sound. Little in the way of variation has been added, though the counter melody that built in and got stripped out at the end certainly needs to be developed and taken further forward.

As far as Techno goes, you end up with a piece that doesn't sound specific to the genre, because it doesn't drive the piece forward as I were expecting something with more of a pounding bassline and up-tempo melody. Still, it's nice to break the mould every now and again, I suppose.

If you're after tips for finishing, I'd say give the counter melody a solo and extend the piece possibly in the region of the 4 minute marker, see what you can come up with around those guidelines.

Tutorials

Sounds like something you would hear during a tutorial part of a video game when you are starting to get up and figure out how to play the game. I would suggest working on the song a bit more though. The song sounds a bit chaotic.

The instruments tend to sound like they want to overlap each other, should probably adjust the EQ of the tracks so they don't clash with each other as much. I mostly noticed this with the main synth sounds and bass since the bass keeps sounding like it wants to override the synth in being the louder sound.

The synth does sound rather interesting though since it goes up and down a lot here and keeps up a strange beat. Makes you feel weird. I like how the drums come on for a short bit but it feels like it was almost never there with the beat of the synth and bass competing to see who can be louder.

Overall, not too bad for a start. Could use a little bit of mastering is all. Equalizing would be very helpful here.
