EPIC

if it didnt freeze up so much on me (or maybe its my comp, its been freezing on a lot of youtube vids today) i would give it perfect score.

woohoo

awesome game beat the game with every wepon leveled up to the max =D

Quite a few issues

1. The zooming in and zooming out nonsense is very much unlike a real rifle. I realize that real rifles don't have set zooming stages either, but one specific rule they teach rifle users is to be constantly aware of one's surroundings, IE using both eyes. The one behind the scope to focus on the target and the second to find range and be aware of other potential targets/threats. It'd be great to work this into your next game. With the last mission, it takes a while to zoom out and then zoom back in, it should be instantaneous as it is simply a panning with the rifle, not a complete re-setup. Also with shooting, either handguns or rifles, your hand to eye coordination means that the rifle or handgun will go wherever you look/point it. Fine tuning is then performed. This meaning that the shooter is not completely lost or off target when acquiring a new target.

2. I hate that MGS started the ideology that the rifle scope bounces around due to the jitteriness of the the shooter. It is really not that bad. This only happens with a person who is not using a stand or who holds the rifle too tightly/has improper shooting positions. Being prone or taking a fixed position either prone, kneeling or standing prevents this to a major degree. If you still want to incorporate this into your game, take it down by at least 80%.

3. The rifles all have no real characteristic differences aside from the basics of being worse or better than others. Do some studying about the rifles you want to place within the game. Go spend a Saturday at your local range and experiment. You can then program different "personalities" to the weapons.

4. Minor, but the .50 Cal Barrett doesn't make a small hole in a target's head. It completely removes the head from the body and has the capacity to remove the top part of the spine, clavicle etc., depending on where in the head one is shot.

5. Rifles do not recoil up on their own. They recoil up due to the user not holding the rifle correctly or the rifle having some sort of gas malfunction. The rifle recoils backwards meaning that target acquisition from a fixed position isn't like what you put in the game.

6. The magic guy.... seriously?

Well,

Good Game. All i had was a dragonov and I owned =)

Daani responds:

Gotta love the dragunov!

Cheers!
