Reviews for "Dirk Dagger"

Very good.

Extremely good artwork and animation, easy-to-use (yet stylish) interface and seemingly interesting plot. Very good job, this reminds me of the good old times' point-and-click andventure games I used to be very fnd of.

One negative element is the huge ammount of film-noir cliches that you have included... I would go for something more fresh (I enjoy the atmosphere, but it has been done way too many times, especially recently).

Overall, I think we are all expecting the next part!

nice

it was amusing, hope you'll finish the second part

incomplete

Largly unfinished. Don't feel it's right to hint at at the possibilities in the completed game. The quality needs to be worked on with the foreground and background layers. Good artwork.

Nice

Well, you've got some beautiful backgrounds, some cheesy jokes and that should make an excellent game. But I'm sorry to say point and click don't work that great anymore. Since even shooter games offer a cinematic experience, solving a mystery in a leghty manner is not that appealing. Also the beaty of old point&click was that almost every action was animated with great care.
Your game is great but at the same time a little weaker than original games like that. Look at the revamped Sam&Max they've added some arcade elements so it is more entertaining.
Oh, the accident joke went like this: when clicking 'upstairs' character would reply "we don't go upstairs... <silence>... not since the accident" - that moment of silence had a great impact. Also a retold joke is not that funny anymore. And the joke "Lower, lower, oh, too low" was from Futurama
Maybe invent some totally new material?

Way, way, waaaaay too short!
