Awesome!!
This game is awesome! There are a few things that could be better. At the begginign it is a bit boring because the enemies come very slowly and you get bored of waiting and also I advise that you add a pause button. If those two things were improved I might be able to push myself and give this game a 10/10. But it is already awesome for a start!
Eh...
Number 1, as stated needs a pause.
Number 2, It should either take away lives or upgrades, not both.
Number 3, Upgrades are unbalanced, how can I have x9 Magnatron, but no other upgrades.
Number 4, If you miss an enemy, you should miss it, and it not come back, i don't need to fight 4 giant bubble things while fighting a snake.
Needs some work, but it is a good start.
Good retro style shooter
Overall very good. Main complait is about visibility : while nicer looking than classic outlined ones, the anti alliassed ennemy bullets blend too well with ennemies. Even worse, some bullets go under ennemies (the snake remains on top of bullets).
Less an issue, but the score in the top right corner can also get distracting when the ship goes there.
Checkpoints after end of levels would have been nice.
