Reviews for "Story of Edward Spencer"

Pretty good!

I have to give you props. For this being your first ever flash this is pretty damn good!

You said so yourself the graphics arent very good, well pretty much everyone can improve on there graphics in one way or another. Yours are decent. I like them, they arent all fancy or whatnot, but yet, they arent crappy.

As many people have said this, but it really was to short. But yet, you only had two weeks to work on it. But defintally make sequal to this. I will be looking forward to it if you decide to make a sequal.

The puzzles werent hard. Maybe make them a bit harder next time?

Anyways, I liked the game all in all. Just wished it was a bit longer.

Oh I almost forgot, the intro of the game, maybe add a skip button? So that way if people want to play it again they can skip it?

And then in the end, it just goes to a blank white screen. I think you should either add a "To be continued" on it. =] Just some suggestions.

RautaSydan responds:

Thanks for the review! (there actually is a skip button above the character's hat in the title. I seem to have left it invisible because at one point it wasn't working right).

The end credits start rolling after a short moment in the end while Reasoner's artwork plays on the background.

Also, I don't like the "to be continued"-phrase, when you see it on a TV show for example you would like to see the next part right away, kind of too much anticipation there :) On the other hand I _could've_ put something to indicate that it will continue :D

a good start

interesting concept, but you should have developed more of a story and the puzzles were pretty easy, and the graphics have quite a bit of room for improvement, but excellent start to something that could be refined to be very successful.

RautaSydan responds:

Thank you, I will keep these in mind when making the next one :)

Good Try

Yahtzee! Oh, sorry jus' playing a game with my friends. Now for the review...
It was short, not particularly "pretty", the character moved sluggishly about. But... it wasn't that bad. I see potential, and apparently your puzzles are top notch to stump so many people. Look at 'em all down there. Stumped in the second room. Don't take the 6/10 as a bad score, please. I'd like to see another!

RautaSydan responds:

Thanks, I'm sure you will see more :)
At least it didn't have quick time events or vehicle sections :D

Nice game

Nice game but i was expecting more since this is part one aint it? To make it more exiting so i would play the next one. I think you should have introduced the story and character so that i know whats going on and its just not a pointless game.
Game play is nice though.
The pictures in the game just need to be more colorful b/c it looks all creepy and boring in the game with just 2colors

RautaSydan responds:

Yes it is the first part. Like I mentioned below, I won't be making a direct sequel (because of... well... Edward's status) but rather something that will take on from here and explain things not told here.
Thanks for the review though! :)

Took me a minute

Great point and click game. The only thing I didnt like was have to use the arrows key to walk. I think I would preffer the mouse other then that great Job.

For you guys having password probelms here a clue its the next number in the series on the list the number will have 2 digits. good luck

5/5

RautaSydan responds:

I was thinking of moving with mouse at one point but I decided to go with the arrows because the mouse movement would just have been beyond my skill and would've cost me extra time :)

Thanks for the review!
