...a good first attempt. Collision detection was a bit off at times, with the ball going through the paddle. Oh, and the enemy AI is a complete moron. But other than that, good job. 2/5 5/10

Its visually good, its way better than the 2 classic bars. Just continue working on the script, the computer player sometimes gets stuck till the ball goes no more and the game cannot be played anymore.
By the way, the earth and the moon are a good detail, maybe both should rotate but very slow. Only the earth moving attracts attention to the left and I'm not sure if that's what you want, but if it is, then let it as it is, maybe you could only work a little on it and give it some more detail. You could actually make a circle whici _rotation changes a bit each frame to make an "eye candy".
Whatever, keep going, if this is your first game, your're doing it well.

Good for a first try, but a tad dull.
Needs work.
You need to adjust the algorythm for the upper pad movement wo it won't get stuck. Second, make a check on the width of the paddles}: the ball tends to go through the corners. Third, make an adjustent on the response time of the player's paddle; it gets stuck and the movement is too sluggish for the ball even in the first levels.
