Reviews for "Total Blackjack"

pimp

i been playin this game once and i won mad money caz "everyday im hustlin" mad G peice out

Not Bad, but Could Use a Bit of Tweaking

The one main feature in particular missing from the game is the lack of a Split option. I also found the betting system to be a bit off, as the values changed from hand to hand, but that could be more to do with me than anything else, as I prefer the "betting chips" way of doing it.

But apart from that, it played well enough, and I did like the ragtime music you chose. Nicely done, just not fully realised.

Nice

Very smooth play, my top score ranked me 14th :D Simple, kept me amused for 20 minutes.

Missing a lot of content

I was hopeful about this game when I saw it was black jack and the fairly good score you'd gotten so far.

Maybe it's just that I've been playing blackjack at different casinos then you but at every one I've ever played in (and it has been many in many different states) your game doesn't really follow the rules.

For one in your game the dealer stops dealing whenever it has beaten you OR whenever it has hit a hard 17. In the real world the dealers are REQUIRED to continue dealing to themselves until they hit a hard or soft 17 (depends on the rules stated beforehand) regardless of who at the table they do or don't already have beat. Basically the dealer, by the rules, is not supposed to pay any attention to what the players are holding.

Additionally I saw no option to split my hand or double down - all very important factors in the real game - and options I've never seen a casino leave out.

Basically while this game does have a moderately polished feel from a gameplay standpoint, it needs a lot of work as an actual real black jack game.

Ashmann makes a good point about 5 under 21

Other than that a very nice Blackjack game. It could be tweaked a bit... or not. I find it quite satisfactory the way it is.
