Reviews for "Evasion - Tequila"

Pretty Simple

The idea to this game is pretty simple and it's pretty simple to learn too. The little game on the preloader could have had more than just running to it, not sure what you could have had. The game itself it's too entertaining though, it's very simple and the objects aren't that plesent to look at, some better graphics would be good.

The sound is okay and everything else, can't really think of much else to say, it's really just a standard avoider game when it all comes down to it, better graphics would be good and everything.

When you say "The game itself it's too entertaining though," are you saying it isn't entertaining or it's TOO entertaining, lol. I'll assume the negative :( I'm sorry you didn't like the falling objects. I tried to make it a little better than a standard avoider by adding lasers, comments, and a crazy background, but I guess that wasn't good enough. Next time maybe! Thanks for the review!
But now I'm probably getting 6's from now on :(

Not Bad!! Rather amusing, even

Why or why are stick figures prone to such incongruous torment? It's almost as if some greater entities than they delight in their endless peril .. oh, right.

I did not understand the number '3' shown in the upper-right. The first time my man got hit by anything was always the last. Also, you failed to hide the mouse pointer. I thought you could've used a side-stepping animation for short movements of the man, rather than the abrupt sideways jump he does. I also thought you could've chosen a better sound sample to represent walking; the one you used sounded to me like metallic bumping.

The idea to print the man's thoughts makes this game.

MinusNick responds:

It would appear torture is in fact the fate all stick figures meet... (Incongruous is a sweet word!)
In the instructions I said that you have three lasers which you use by clicking. The three is a counter of said lasers. It wasn't a life meter or anything: it was a one hit kills game. And I don't know what to do about the short movement problem; the guy makes the running movement when you have to move a longer distance. I'm glad you liked the guy's thoughts, and thanks for the review!

AVRY THING SHALL KILL YOU!!!

As the tittle suggests that will happen P.S. dont freak the ball wont kill you...

~~~Gameplay~~~
Well it's fun and addicting which is the key to awesomnes in games but lets look at this game intelligently...Sure,this game is fun but it's short as hell becouse you wont survive for long since there are so many things flying at you and thats why the shortness pays it's toll...(Also the stickman says funny stuff :D)
~~~Sounds~~~
Well the music is pretty fun to listen and it does work with the frantic gameplay
but not having any other sound effects pays it's toll...

~~~Animation~~~
Well...to tell the truth im not found of the animation there's only stuff that doesn't move falling,exept for those dancers and the ball thay are smooth and well animated but the stickman you control is badly animated,if you move a little or slowly he won't move at all and just 'teleport'...
~~~OVERALL~~~
Well if you have time to kill you shoud try this game,but it doesn't have any revolutionary features that wud increase this games fun factor...Thay're are alot of other games have done the same thing and eproved this ganre....

Lol, another 7. It's not that difficult to last long: my friend got a B first try. I'm glad you liked the dancing stickmen! (Those were my saviors.) Thanks for the review!

Trippy

Well, this is certainly a simple, very trippy flash. You've gien us the ability to move the character from side to side, but not up and down, which doesn't really give many ways to avoid the falling blocks.

I'd personally break it up into levels, allowing you to see when you cross various thresholds of grades, that youv'e given for the scoring system. I only achieved a B, so I'm not too unimpressed with that.

Better graphics, with a slightly less trippy background would have been appreciated, perhaps giving your guy some powerups, enabling him to destroy some blocks.

MinusNick responds:

Coop! It's you! Up and down would have not been that good, in my opinion. Maybe in future games. Levels... levels... That's an interesting proposition you've got there... I'll think about it. The background is meant to be trippy and distracting, so that's the point.
And... you can destroy some blocks! You have three lasers which you can use by clicking. I hope that isn't what held me back from a 7...
Thanks for the review!

Yay, I scored a B+!

The game is pretty addictive, even though it's very simple.

The graphics are kept very simple, but I liked the dancing stick figures, heh.

You've done a good job with distracting the player. Sometimes it's very hard to stay concentrated when the whole screen is flashing and loaded with different symbols.

I somehow missed a mute-button here. Okay, the music seems to be a key element of the game, but I had to turn off Janis Joplin to play this game! (I hope you know what a big sacrifice I had to make to play this game :P )

Overall, the game is highly addictivem, but needs a bit work on the graphics.

Lol, I always get 7's from the Review Request Club on all my works.
You liked the dancing stick figures, as did everyone. And I didn't put in a mute button because the background stuff matches with it, so it's an important part of the game. I'm still glad you liked it for the most part, and I'll try like hell to draw better in the future.
