Not bad, not great...

It was fun but it seems after wave 13 or so the sword becomes entirely useless and the game just becomes a matter of herding the enemies away from the castle and into one place while waiting for your spells to recharge.

No skill required?

There seems to be little skill involved - hold down space and heal when needed, die a lot - could be a lot better if this was changed.

Fun, but needs work

The aspect of the game itself is enjoyable: Kill stuff, heal yourself, gain new ways to kill stuff, and repeat. Of the few "one-man defense" games I've played, this is one of the better.

However, there are some problems/issues that should be looked at, as well as features that should be added:

*Problems/Issues*

-Spell Reflection--The timing needed to reflect spells with your sword is difficult, and near impossible if the computer lags. This, combined with being transformed into a boar due to a green wizard's magic, can lead to easily getting caught in an infinite loop of being unable to attack.

-Blind-spots--The large, spike-armor knights have a blind-spot slightly above them, allowing you to attack them unharmed. It's hard to find at first, but it can quickly be exploited.

-What does, and does not, get affected by lag--Some Newgrounds games cause my computer to lag if I play them for to long, and this game is one of them. However, this is not the actual problem. The problem is that the knight lags, but not the enemies.

The prime example: I was pretty far int he game, and I was preparing to deal with a wave of large enemies. The game then lags horribly: The controls became unresponsive for well over 5 seconds. Some of the backed-up movement comes through, snd the knight moves back to the castle. The controls are once again unresponsive, but the enemies are still moving normally. I try to move, I try to cast spells, I try to pause, nothing happens, Roughly 20 seconds later, the enemies make it across the bridge. The knight is killed, and the castle is destroyed.

*Features that should be added*

Others have mentioned these, but nevertheless...

-"Save Game" button--It's frustrating to have to start back at the very beginning whenever the castle is destroyed.

-Shop/Upgrades--As soon as most of your spells go into cooldown at once, you're in trouble. Alternative methods of survival are needed.

Stronger attack, faster swing, higher knight and/or castle health, higher knight and/or castle defense, higher knight movement speed, perhaps even a simple castle turret. You don't need much, but there needs to be something.

This game has potential, Eggy. You just need to polish it some more
before it can shine. Until then, I give it a vote of 3, and a score of 7.
