Reviews for "Tzunami - Nightlife"

Nice and smooth, like butter

I rarely review, I feel you deserve one. You did a fantastic job crossing genres, the contrast was exciting but not stark. It was actually refreshing to listen to, there was no sense of misplaced melodies or sounds, and everything just fit.

About how you said it lacks "sounds and movements to really make it stand out", you're wrong in two ways. It has plenty of movement, at least in my opinion, and you don't really want every part of a song to "stand out". The smooth, buttery flow of this song allowed it to be beautiful and stand out in its own right.

Good job sir.

Tzunami responds:

Yeah, I figure as a con for not being able to work in one genre 100%, the pro is that combining the genres can bring upon interesting results. It has the grime of Dubstep, the progressive feel and ambiance of Trance, the drum melodies of Hip-Hop and Drum & Bass. It just comes together well at times, while other times it doesn't do much at all. All depends the mood you can set. Thanks for the review though, very appreciated.

OK THIS IS THE ----- GAH.

NICE START UP.... I LIKES IT.

Tzunami responds:

Thanks a lot.

AWWW YEAHHHH.

Dude, you kept the bass on beat the WHOLE time, actual skill here, bro, respect.

Tzunami responds:

Thanks a lot. It's pretty precise but I don't think I did that much to keep it that sharp.

This song is amazing

I love the tune, the instruments, and it just feels like a song to relax to (until the drop at 1:10) :P

Great work here, tzunami!

Tzunami responds:

It was meant to be a "calm before the storm" type scenario, giving the listener a sense of... well... comfort. I honestly don't know why this song has grown so popular, I really wanted to get it out of the way so I could work on genres I know I'm comfortable working in. At least I know I achieved what I was hoping I would.

Thanks for the review.

I dig it!

Nice ambience in this tune, almost oddly relaxing. Solid beat, and the "Wubwub" automation was spot-on too. Keep up the solid production bro, you've got talent!

Tzunami responds:

That's what I do. Clashing genres is supposedly what I've done best for the years I've produced. Thanks for the review.
