Reviews for "Her Smile"

This is going into my house folder

Best track I've reviewed this week. I've become a huge House fan lately, and this hits my spot.

Everything in this song speaks to me. I love the synths used, great sound, rhythmics section is not too intrusive, the song is long, but doesn't drag on because it has just the amount of variation that a house song is supposed to have.

The buildup in the intro was also amazing, really prepares you for what's to come.

When a song is this good, my reviews are always short, because I can't come up with anything to comment other than how good it is.

I can finish up by saying that the intro was neat, putting a real great ending to a real great track.

I'll be honest: I'm not into lengthy things. They somewhat annoy me.

This one, however, calms me. I never really got that itch I usually get with listening to something long, and change it.

I listened to the whole thing, and I have to say, as a listener, I really enjoyed this.

Good job on getting me out of my habit!

P.S. What inspired you to name it 'Her Smile'?

Thank you so much! You're the first person to not say that my songs are too long and repetitive! lol

As for the inspiration........................hm mm........... ;)

Great

Wow is this one long house piece!!

The drums start out with a subtle feel and taste to them as if inviting you to a party. The slight background synth seems to build up after the big wind sound effect I hear in this piece meaning this will be a very long and subtly relaxing piece of music too.

Enjoyed around 1:15 where there was a very slow and yet softly dramatic build up with the synth as well so that seemed to quite tame and amazing at the same time to me.

Really liked when the bass began to kick in right before the synth breakdown quickly where the synth started out the main beat. It sounded quite upbeat and catchy as well. Then the bass slowly built back in in the background of the song.

The digital beeps and boops kind of make you feel as if you were in a digital realm of some kind and simply exploring and trying to figure out where you were at and why you were there.

The tune begins to go back to a full motion piece with the phaser feeling effect slightly emphasized on the synth as if a DJ was slowly moving a turntable to create a digital effect of sorts.

Then it goes back down to where the bass is deep and low and the light xylophone sound has a part to itself. It plays and plays before the rest begin to slowly come back in with the drums starting it back in and then the bass and synth.

Around 5:00 it begins to slowly pick back up and turn out to be a subtly amazing piece of bliss and ear candy once more. The song just continues to play out as if just allowing the person to relax, dance, or simply think to themself.

The tune is very long but I think it managed to turn out well in the end too. I think this would do well in a club or private party anayways.

Overall, very long and wonderful piece!

Thanks for the review! Wow, such a detailed review! I'm glad that you felt like you were taken away into another world, that means I've done my job as a Progressive House artist :D

Hmm, it's interesting that you heard it as a xylophone, never even crossed my mind. It's a pretty standard Trance arp synth, but it does kind of sound like a xylophone I guess.
