Reviews for "Wegra Adventures"

Umm What?

Well it might have been an okay idea but kind of lacking in graphics and everything, there was little animation if any, I mean I didn't notice any, so it would have been good to have some. The graphics, okay I mean I don't mind them being bad, they did kind of work with the fast pace of the stroy and everything, but they did kind of lack in a party.

The whole narration was okay, kind of fast but that pace was good and did work with the whole thing. The only thing that let it down really was the whole story, it didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, if any as well as much of the humour in this not really being all that funny. Good idea but didn't really come out too well in my view.

Alright, Thats cool Thanks for the review.

Buh...

Wow, that's amazingly poor animation and detail throughout. Try improving your drawing by zooming in and using a slightly smaller tool to draw your images with, as it's not working at the moment. The eraser is always a useful tool to round edges off better.

Voices are badly needed, as this sort of Speakonia style program just doesn't work well enough - it's too fast and half of the time, all you can hear is gibberish. Perhaps a bar with subtitles is what you would need, so that you can understand the narrator. Don't have Mario sound effects over the top of the Narrator, it sounds shite.

Look at some of the tutorials, they will help you learn how to animate and then you can submit decent looking movies to Newgrounds.

Oooh Zooming in! I never thought of that. I'll try that in Wegra Adventure 4!

Ehhh

Well.....if this flash ran a little slower and the voice was a real one and not that infernal voice that reminds me of the CC, it could have a better score...

Wegra responds:

Yeah, I know. But personnaly, I think I improved in 2&3.

Wha....?

I could understand like half of what was happening. It is a good idea behind a great flash, but the speed of the whole thing just tore it down. It was just too fast to be understood by a common newgrounder.

Me, I hear about 90% of what the voice was saying. The storyline was ok, but again the speed factor made it very hard to understand.

There was no animation, making this more of a powerpoint presentation than a flash movie. The drawings were kool though.

6 for effort.

Thanks for the review. Lol K for Kool.

Microsoft Sam?!

To get it out of the way - and to avoid wasting time talking about it - I'm going to have to agree with just about everyone who has reviewed this flash, and say that the voice needs to be slowed down, or even made human so it's more easily understandable. That voice is Microsoft Sam, from the whole control panel > sound thing, right? While it sounds funny when played fast, there isn't a great deal of clarity, meaning that its kind of hard to follow the story.

As for the story itself...well, all I know is that he played Gamecube, was tranquilized by mario, went to target, and finally got his ice cream after an ordeal with evil cats and an octopus. While I can respect totally random things, I do feel that the plot is a bit off. You could probably get away with such if people could tell what was going on.

The graphics aren't entirely great, but with the style you're going for, they work. If anything's laughable in the flash it is the graphics, which give the idea that its some kid really telling a story about how he broke his leg. My only true graphical problem is the written text, which was, at times, difficult to read. I would recommend either making it neater (its flare is obviously in the messiness/hand-drawn quality that it has) or switching to some crazy looking font that you could edit to look hand done. The first option is probably much easier.

Like others have said, a pre-loader and replay button would be very nice, but I would also recommend including credits, just to give it that professional shine. Yes, I just made that up. All in all, it's not bad, it just needs some polishing.

I wish I could. But I don't have a mic. and I think my actually voice is even worse. But I'm still looking!
