As MOC-Productions said it, it is very nice to see something like this around here from time to time.
I'd like to differ from him/she on the matter of guessin what your message was here:
The movie shows us the struggles a person can endure, this not being just for adolescent or young adults, but can hit us at any time of our life. A man lives, but more importantly chooses the way he lives. For a person who thought he was at his top, found his world crumbling into pieces. The loss of work and child. A man can pick the solution, so can turn to a higher power for aid. But soon, men find no real relief when he stumbles upon men's own greed, so the higher power fails to release him (when the light darkens the cross and the man walks away as it falls). A person enclosed in symbols of hope (material, personal, sensitive, emotional) can't sustain himself if all of these fail to be there. An easy solution can be set: end the struggle quick.
The scene at the end, the Up sign, it's of most important to this concept. It's a sign to tell us not to give up! to fight on, to fight even at your end, shown to everyone in different ways, everyday, without us even noticing, being invisible because we are distracted in our greif.
I say hope is just a word, doesn't give us much just as it is. The world shows us a great place full of unkown things to our eyes. Hope is unreal, but the inifity of unknown is present, yet misterious and exciting.
A masterpiece. Congratulations, you are proud of yourself :D
