Reviews for "MadSeth 2: Revelry"

plz put me in =D

Well, this is a nice sequel.

I have never seen a guy who created a series which made 2 episodes on the series debut day.

You have nice work and nice work time so that you can submit 2 flash submissions on the great Madness Day 2007.

It is much more better than the first installment, you make a great flash submission.

Rapheus responds:

I think I made these six months or a year apart, but uploaded them both on the same day. I don't think Madness Day existed before '07, so I didn't really have anywhere to upload my MadSeth.

And thanks! I learned much since the first installment, and experimented with humor this time around.

Review time, yet again.

I found this far better than first one, in my honest opinion.

- Art looks better overall, though at some points very plain (like in the beginning, the fortress)
- Animation is better than in first one in my opinion, but still kind of "choppy"
- Humor... well most didn't get to me but I can see someone else laughing
- Loved the music choice
- Loved menu with dancing Ganondork

Some things I felt were kind of off:

- 3 guards appearing out of nowhere, I'd think they would be harder to kill if they have ability to teleport/be invisible/whatever they used to just appear there in the middle of the room?
- Now that I think about it, it was never told how ganondork and seth both came back to live. I mean, it's not focused in any series, but usually it's told who/what brought them back to live

However, that last one is minor. And yeah, I seem to be kind of looking for something to nitpick about, I am not sure why. Just trying to find something to say about what to improve. (Then again my effort might be wasted considering this is kind of old. Ah well!)

Far better than first one, you can see the improvement!

4/5, 7/10

Rapheus responds:

Excellent! I'm supposed to be finishing my notebook for a final but here's another review! I love it!

-Yes, the art was danged plain, this was before I could really draw anything, and at that time Ganondork's Fortress was an amazing feat ;)
-Yeah, still choppy, but I find the choppiness goes away with the practice, much like a child learning to walk.
-Humor was kind of a first here, I still found it hard to translate through Flash.
-When I animate I play random music for inspiration, and that's usually how I pick themes, that's how I discovered this one, but Shaun of the Dead helped!
-Look! My first animated DVD-esque menu, what fun!

-Agreed, the guards appearing was a cheap trick, but at that time getting three guys to walk into the room would have taken hours. I think I blamed them appearing on the virus Ganondork uploaded. Still lazy though.
-Ah, how did Gan and Seth come back from their head wounds? You'll notice that in the later MasSeths there are whispers about a Soldier Replication program. Well in MadSeth 5 whenever you see Rick's computer, pause and read the open text window. It shows MadSeth 1 and explains that it was an early test of the Replication Project. Ooooo!
(I put little easter eggs in all my animations. I find it incredibly fun.)

And I relish nitpicks, it gives me a chance to explain myself!

dude...epic

as always this is epic..... i lold when the guard tried running away from seth and he tripped and his head was cut off by the door!!! and also i lold at the grenade scene!!! :)

Rapheus responds:

Thanks, man! I had fun with the doorcapitation bit.

hahahahahaha

nice music who were the guys with Seth

Rapheus responds:

That was Wog (red cape) and Tinkle (yellow with funny hat), Seth's friends. Maybe they'll show up again sometime...
