the best among the rest
One of the first Madness animations I ever saw aside from the originals. Hasnt aged as well as I had hoped, with more than a few spelling errors and edgy lines. It still however will remain my favourite series, from the awesome action that only got better going forward, to just simply the design of everything and even the lore.
4:03 NOSCOPE FTW
The animation doesn't hold up so well after all these years, but it is still a cool series. The action is not the classic Madness fighting. The gritty style adds weight to it and the gore is pretty nice. It doesn't flow as organically as the regular stuff, but the moves are still cool and fairly strategic. The enemy variety is nice as well. The story is original a far as Madness plots go. The dialogue is badly translated, but I'm not gonna fault you on that. The exposition isn't too forced and is revealed pretty naturally through banter. The sound effects might be a bit too much with the machineguns and stuff, but the music fits very well. The video game references were a nice way to break the somewhat edgy atmosphere.
Overall a cool legacy Madness tribute, it hasn't aged great, but it's still a fair bit of fun.
