Reviews for "High Elf Star Priestess"

Amazing, Only thing i'd like to point out is the size of the neck, it bothered me, because the rest of the image is so good.

lol you're not the only one, and thank you. Its actually farely similar to the reference photo, I know its the same length, i used measurement lines to get it the same, but i think its because her hair is up. I would agree though, it does look a tad too long. Thanks for the crit =D

Hi, I really like your style, do you draw in Photoshop only? Using just different brushes and opacity + smudge? Please share your secret :D
All the best

RussFairchild responds:

Oh thank you! I only use Photoshop, and have barely used smudge brush. I keep flow at 60%, and opacity pretty high, around 80-90%, unless its something really really delicate, like the glow of the metal, i'll go town to 10%, make the brush pretty big, and tap it where it needs. I also used a texture overlay on the metal, and painted the detail that I wanted. Hope this helps

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I voted a 3 instead of a 5! Stupid trackpads!

RussFairchild responds:

lol All good, thank you =)

So beautiful!! :D

RussFairchild responds:

Thank you very much! =D

Great, sharp detail. One thing I've noticed besides the beautiful color scheme and head design, is the extended neck - I like that little part. What I love most about this painting is the texture work on the head gear. From afar, we can't see it that much, but upclose, it's amazing :D

RussFairchild responds:

Thank you. Ya i looked for a while for long neck reference, something i always thought elves should have, and then i found a photo with the pose and everything and was like Hallelujah!!! lol
